Guess That 1994 Baseball Player! #24

Yesterday’s answer, DeLino DeShields, gained fame for all the wrong reasons when he was traded for a prospect who Dodgers manager Tommy Lasorda essentially said was too small to ever become an effective Major League starter. That prospect was, of course, Mr. “Who’s Your Daddy?” himself, Pedro Martinez.

Guess That 1994 Baseball Player!

My favorite book of all time might be the 1994 Baseball Almanac. I remember spending hours and hours as a youngster leafing through the pages studying the stats, projections, and award history. Yeah, I spent a lot of time by myself…

Anyway, I still have the book and since the mid-90s were my favorite time for baseball and some of the projections are downright hilarious, I figured I’d start a contest aimed at honoring the period.
