2012 Little League World Series: A Running Diary
This Thursday marked the beginning of the greatest two weeks of the year (and, consequently, the worst two weeks of the year for my wife). That’s right, ladies and gentlemen, it’s time for the 2012 Little League World Series.

Outlawing Baseball’s Third-To-First Move Makes No Sense
My wife is Canadian, and had probably watched a grand total of three hours of baseball in her entire life by the time I met her. After five long months of misery, that glorious day is finally upon us. No, I’m not talking about the premiere of NBC’s newest sitcom, Best Friends Forever.
I’m of course talking about Major League Baseball’s Opening Day, which commences this Wednesday with a game between the defending World Series Champion St. Louis Cardinals and Bud Selig’s most recent blatant attempt to appeal to the Latin demographic, the newly relocated Miami Marlins. I’m surprised they haven’t changed the name to “Los Marlins” yet, like some other sports have tried. Continue reading

Guess That 1994 Baseball Player! #40
Congratulations to those that got yesterday’s answer (and a special thank you to Rass who quickly pointed out that I had accidentally left Pat Listach’s name in the final sentence of the entry, which I quickly remedied). Hopefully there won’t be any further mental lapses as we move along. Continue reading
